Pastoral @ Vandya
At Vandya’s boarding houses, we pride ourselves on nurturing and grooming our boarders with the utmost tenderness and care. We firmly believe that every student possesses the potential to excel in their chosen field, and our boarding program is designed to provide them with the perfect jumpstart towards achieving their goals. Our primary goal is to transform the young children we receive into fine young adults, and we do so in alignment with the Guru Shishya Parampara, instilling the right virtues, morals, and ethics in our students to prepare them for life beyond the school premises.
Our dedicated boarding houses are staffed by compassionate caregivers who wholeheartedly commit to maintaining the well-being, health, and happiness of every student under their care. We work in close partnership with parents, guided by shared values that prioritize the overall welfare of our students. Each house is led by a Housemaster, supported by Assistant Masters, Dames, and Tutors. Every student has regular one-to-one meetings with their Tutor, who offers guidance on all aspects of their personal and academic development.
Our team’s major role is to develop a close relationship between the boarders, their parents and the academic team so that every child feels that they are in ‘A HOME AWAY FROM HOME’ and a place where bonds are made for life.
There are separate boarding houses for boys and girls. They reside in four boarding houses: Barbet, Malkoha, Minivet and Sunbird. The living facilities are planned to provide a family-like atmosphere to our boarders where they feel safe and secure.
When students arrive at Vandya International School, it can take some time to adjust, let go of the comfort zone of their homes and settle into their new surroundings. We understand the need for extra care and concern during this crucial transition period, which is why we place our young learners in holding house under the personal care of a Housemaster, Assistant master, Dames, and a team of Tutors. This ensures that they receive the attention and support they require as they acclimatize to their new home away from home.
